Western Dance

History of Western dance from ancient times to the present and including the development of ballet, the waltz, and various types of modern dance. The people of the West of Europe and of the countries founded through permanent European settlement elsewhere have a history of dance characterized by great diversity and rapid change. Whereas most dancers of the East repeated highly refined forms of movement that had remained virtually unchanged for centuries or millennia, Western dancers showed a constant readiness, even eagerness, to accept new vehicles for their dancing. Clef Academy teach Western dance in Jazz, Disco, Free Style, Break, Folk and Cine styles. Clef Academy makes the students to enhance their dancing skills. We follow the discipline activity in dance. At Clef Academy classes for western dance is taken in a pleasant sophisticated environment with everyone’s performance in mind. 

We do encourage students to face Practical grade exams which are certified by Performance Arts Awards (PAA) are group graded examinations in dance ranging from absolute beginner (Premiere) to advanced (Grade 8). Developed by industry specialists, PAA exams are specifically designed to measure, assess and reward progress whilst encouraging innovation and creativity.
